At Sands Carving Studio, you can now come into our workshop and, under the guidance of our expert carvers, create a piece of taonga that you can be proud to gift to those precious to you. No previous experience necessary, master carvers and complete beginners alike are welcome to come and share the art. Our carving workshops not only focus on teaching the essential skills and knowledge required to shape and create each traditional Māori carving form, but also delve into the cultural background of this profound artform.
