Koru Kāpia - Kauri Gum Spiral Pendant

Sands Jewellery House

Koru, the quintessential Māori pattern, represents growth, transformation, potential, and peace. Taken from the fern frond found throughout the forests of Aotearoa, koru represent the growth and transformation, the potential and peace found in the whenua (land). They are gifts of love and friendship.

This roimata was carved by Conrad Henderson from kauri gum sourced from Northland and was set in Te Kuiti onewa (basalt) and inanga pounamu from Marsden, all of Aotearoa. It measures 42mm in diameter, 10mm thick, has a glossy finish, and is hung on a sterling silver chain.
