The dark rich green of the Kawakawa pounamu is set off beautifully in this silver pendant. This pounamu is named after the leaf of the Kawakawa tree. When worn the pounamu will appear quite dark, almost black, but hold it up to the light and the beautiful green shines through.
Our pendants are individually crafted in our Hamilton studio, ensuring every piece is unique.
This piece was carved by Samuel Potter and the sterling silver setting is by John Mayo. It comes on a 44cm silver chain plated with rhodium (which helps prevent tarnishing) rather than the cord as shown in the photos.
This piece measures: 30mm (L) x 20mm (W)
