Pekapeka are ancient carved forms, and are the representation of the native bat of Aotearoa.
Worn on special occasions it is carved as a twin manaia.
This whale bone pekapeka has paua inlay eyes. It is hung on a tan adjustable cord. It can be worn either side - with both sides showing different colourings of the bone.
This piece measures: 71 x 50 x 8mm
