With expertise and power the carver wields the adze. Relied on for survival in ancient times, traditional tools are imbued with significance and meaning. The toki epitomizes the artistry and skill of the craftsman, protector and provider. Of great mana (prestige), to wield the toki is to wield strength.
This toki was hand-carved in our workshop in Kirikiriroa and set in sterling silver by our resident jeweller, John Mayo. The pendant measures 50mm by 5mm and has a gloss finish.
