Roimata in the form of teardrops, are a Tohu (sign) of our emotions in times of joy, sadness, celebration and tribulation. They remind us of our humanity, our history, and our tipuna (ancestors) who support us going forward.
Kokopu is found in the Arahura River on the West Coast. The spotted pounamu resembles the pattern of the Kokopu, which is the Maori name for the New Zealand native trout.
Measures 6.6 x 3.2 cm.
