Hand carved putatara - shell trumpet, the totara wood mouthpiece has been fitted into the shell for a strong bond, and has been carved with a wheku design, engraved with unaunahi and inlayed with paua eyes.
The wood is bound onto the shell using a hand platted three plat decorated with feathers.
It measures 28cm x 14cm
