Hei matau are fish hooks fashioned in the style of Māui. These are symbols of abundance, prosperity, and wealth. They are also considered to provide good luck and safety on water, and are therefore thoughtful gifts for travellers.

Totoweka is a type of New Zealand Pounamu stone that is similar to a green variety of Kawakawa but has ‘blood red’ streaks.

This piece was hand carved by  Yuki Tanaka and is hung by a black adjustable hand platted cord.

This piece measures 76 x 47 mm.
