The toki is carved from Aroha Stone, (Piedamontite Schist), which is characterised by beautiful colours ranging from pink to dark purple. The stone contains mica which gives it a magical shimmer and sparkle. In Maori the word Aroha means “unconditional love”.
This toki is a mix of purple and white and has a lovely glittery shimmer to it. It was carved by Samuel Potter and is hung by an adjustable tan platted cord.
