Hei Matua are fish hooks fashioned in the style of Māui. These are symbols of abundance, prosperity, and wealth. They are also considered to provide good luck and safety on water, and are therefore thoughtful gifts for travelers.

 It is hung by an adjustable hand platted cord.

This piece was hand carved by Paul Anderson and measures 42 x 36 x 3mm.
