This Pounamu Wahaika - New Zealand Jade War Club has been carved with beautiful translucent pounamu and and features a muka coloured braided wrist tau (cord) and sits on a native timber base with brass fittings.

This collectible piece has been hand-carved and polished by Alex Sands and measures approximately 305  x 100 x 18 mm.

Wahaika were commonly used prior to European settlement and made from either whale bone or wood. The name means mouth of a fish, because of its general shape.
