PMA2013S

Hei matau are fish hooks fashioned in the style of Māui. These are symbols of abundance, prosperity, and wealth. They are also considered to provide good luck and safety on water, and are therefore thoughtful gifts for travellers.

This ornate white marble Hei Matau Fish Hook Pendant was carved by Yuri Terenyi. It is hung on a tan adjustable cord and can be worn on either side - with both sides showing intricate carvings.

This piece is carved white marble and measures approximately 60 x 34 x 12 mm.

This piece was hand carved by Paul Anderson
