This unique Whale Bone Hei Tiki Porohita Pounamu Disc Sculptural He Tiki was handcrafted and carved by Alex Sands. It is inlaid with paua shell eyes and sits upon a gorgeous pounamu Disc. This one-of-a-kind Tiki is presented on a native New Zealand timber base with copper fittings.
Hei tiki represent the form of the first human, worn by Māori they are a prestigious gift. Hei tiki are a remembrance of Tupuna (ancestors) that guide us forward. Hei tiki can be seen as ornaments of honour and status.
Porohita (circle) represents the journey and circle of life.
