This Stunning, high-quality Raukaraka Pounamu Hei Tiki features flawless inlayed paua eyes and will be suspended from a black 4 plait hand-braided wax cord. It measures 77 x 43 mm and was hand-carved by Andy Ruskin.

Hei Tiki represent the form of the first human, worn by Māori they are a prestigious gift. Hei Tiki are a remembrance of Tupuna (ancestors) that guide us forward. Hei tiki can be seen as ornaments of honor and status. 

Andy Ruskin, based in Hokitika, originally hails from Nelson and has a background in visual arts and metalsmithing. His work draws inspiration from the region's rugged natural beauty and the cultural heritage of early Maori artists who revered this unique material. With maternal genealogy linked to the Ngai Tahu/Kati Mamoe iwi, Ruskin sees his creations as a continuation of a longstanding family tradition.
