In the ancient Māori world, the Toki or adze was a vital tool in everyday life. Toki have come to represent the strength and skill of an individual, and the acquisition of knowledge and mana (prestige).

It is hung by an adjustable hand-plaited wax cord and measures 38 x 21 x 3mm. It was hand-carved by Samuel Potter.

A Dendrite is a distinctive natural pattern formed within the stone. These dendritic formations resemble branching structures or fern-like patterns and are highly valued for their unique aesthetic appeal.
