Traditional Kura Wax Mako Mau Taringa - Shark Teeth Earrings. Shark teeth have been worn by Polynesians and Māori since the earliest exploration of Polynesia. They connect to the spirit of the shark, its ferocity and as an abundant food source. The colour kura (red) is a sacred colour that traditionally added value to an object.

This pair is hung with sterling silver and capped in traditional red wax.
