This stunning and translucent Tangiwai Pounamu Hei Tiki Pendant features beautiful carved pāua shell eyes inlaid in traditional red wax. It was carved by Alex Sands and measures 5 x 8.5 cm and will be hung by an adjustable muka (tan) hand-braided wax cord. 

Hei tiki represent the form of the first human, worn by Māori they are a prestigious gift. Hei tiki are a remembrance  of Tupuna (ancestors) that guide us forward. Hei tiki can be seen as ornaments of honour and status.
