The toki epitomises the artistry and skill of the craftsman, protector and provider. Of great mana (prestige), to wield the toki is to wield strength.
This hei toki was carved by Jeremy Walsh from tangiwai pounamu sourced from Anita Bay of Te Wai Pounamu, Aotearoa. It measures 110mm by 25mm, has a semi-gloss finish, engraved with niho taniwha and is bound with an adjustable hand-braided cord.
