A beautifully crafted pounamu shepherd’s whistle is not only practical but can also be worn as a pendant.
To use it, one places the whistle against the tongue inside the mouth, producing clear high-frequency tones as air flows through the holes and out from the sound chamber.
This whistle is suspended from a black, adjustable, hand-plaited wax tau (cord) and measures 4.5 x 3 cm.
