Mau Taringa are earrings that are carved in both traditional and contemporary styles. Mau Taringa are gifts for those we care for and when worn, remind the wearer of those who gifted them. 

Translated tangi means to (cry or tears) and (wai) is water, the full name kōkō-tangiwai refers to a deep sorrow that is never completely healed.

This pair measures 72 x 8mm and was hand carved by Wendy Marshall.
