Kaka Poria were leg rings used on captive birds kept as prized possessions, to sing and attract other kaka and manu from afar. Today these pendants are the tohu (sign) given to an orator, singer, or close friend.

This piece measures 50 x 30 mm and made from Sperm Whale bone.
